This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This is an advanced, combined and updated version of our Calendar Date and Time To Julian Date Calculator and our Calendar Date and Time From Julian Date Calculator. Enter the UTC date and time in the appropriate fields and then press the Calculate JD# button to calculate the Julian Date. Each field MUST have a valid value in it. The return of an NaN error in the calculated JD number and time field will result otherwise. The default value is the BIOS date of the original IBM PC, January 1, 1980, 12:00 noon, but then is initialized to the current UTC date and time, based on your computer's clock. A Julian date is valid from January 1, 4713 B.C., or to those that do not accept Christianity, BCE, to present, sometime after 2004 A.D., or for the non-Christians, CE. Click on Clear JD# to set the defaults without the UTC time and date and to clear the Julian Date number. By default, the selected calculation is FROM date to JD#; you may reverse that and enter the JD# to find out what date it was. You may also limit your calculations to BC (BCE) or AD (CE); the default is AD. For Financial dates and legal dates, days between dates, days before a date or days after a date, day of the week for a given date in history, involving the last 2 centuries, we suggest that you use our Julian to current day and date calculator.
