Speaker Sound Q Calculator
This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This calculator is designed to give the approximate Q of a loudspeaker from the rated coverage angles, although accurate calculation of speaker Q requires the use of a full modeling program to identify the coverage variations compared to a true spherical coverage pattern. Speaker Q and the Directivity Index of a loudspeaker are both somewhat hypothetical, based on formula calculations. Since manufacturing techniques, components and atmospheric conditions vary greatly, so possibly do these calculations as opposed to actual conditions.
