To determine the expired hours percentage, divide the expired hours of the day by the hours in the day. Decimal fractions of an hour are legitimate. Valid entries for hours in the day are from .1 (6 minutes) to 24 hours. Valid entries for expired hours are from 0 to the number of hours entered for the day. Results are the number of hours remaining in the day, the percentage of hours expired and the percentage of hours remaining. The default entry for the hours of the day is 24 (though it could be a work day of 8, 10 or similar hours) and the default for the expired hours is 1.
