CSG Legal Fuel Load Values Calculator

This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. It is to determine the fuel (Aviation Gasoline) legal requirements of a flight. All entries should be numeric and may be decimal if needed. Time values as hours are displayed as decimal; 6 minutes is 1/10 hour. Enter fuel values in gallons and weight in pounds. The answers are returned as calculated values, based on your entries. Be sure to take into consideration winds aloft, restricted zones, climb time and fuel for a margin of safety when calculating requirements. Be sure to check the current NOAA aviation weather for departure, along the flight plan and at the destination airport before departure. Avgas (100-130 or 100-130LL) weight is calculated at 6 pounds per gallon. (The weights are accepted averages based on specific gravity and other variables, such as temperature and additives due to climate.) No effort is made to determine usable or unusable fuel. Times are determined by your burn setting. The default safety margin is zero (0); be sure to include a good margin of time and fuel.
