This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This calculator is designed to give the equivalent percentage of an hour as related to a certain amount of conventional minutes. It also determines the amount of decimal minutes in hundredths of an hour. For example, 30 (standard) minutes is half an hour, 50 hundredths of an hour, or .5 hours, and is 50 decimal minutes. 100 decimal minutes make an hour, as does 60 conventional minutes.
There are a very few hybrid time clocks that show conventional time but optionally print out decimal information and from time to time (no pun intended), it must be converted back and forth between decimal time and conventional time. This facilitates the conversion of conventional to decimal. The counterpart of this calculator, decimal to conventional, is here.
