State Information
This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This script presents information about each of the 50 states and the nation's capital, the District Of Columbia. The information supplied is relevant to that state for population as of the year 2000 census unless otherwise noted. You may optionally click on one of the two information buttons: the See The Flag or Launch The Site button or the See The Geographical Map or Visit The Census Bureau Map Site button. However, if you have a pop-up killer, some may require that you momentarily disable them in order to have either of the information window displays made visible. There is a link at the bottom of the main display page for ALL state official government websites, as well as some additional information links. Ranking information is from 1, largest in population, largest in size and earliest admission to the union, to 51 (50 in admission), including the District of Columbia in population and size. The capital city data line also displays the state two letter official abbreviation. Below the calculator are several inks that will lead to "drill down" maps of incredible information.
