Cost Of Smoking Calculator
This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This calculator is designed to give the approximate dollar value of the cost of smoking. However, it does not attempt to put a price tag on the true reward in quitting... better health. This simple calculator requires the number of cigarettes you smoke a day as a minimum change to the defaults. The default is 2 packs a day. The default figures for number of cigarettes daily as well as extra medical, dental, clothing and other costs are a bare minimum from a recent survey of 300,000 smokers, 25 and over. You may change any value you feel is not appropriate for you. All entries are numeric and any value that you remove should have a zero (0) in it. Click on Calculate to see the bad news and you may also click on Clear Values to restore the defaults. (An error message of NAN usually indicates a value other than a number has been entered. Re-enter the incorrect entry and click on Calculate again.) Setting aside the cost, quit for your health!
