This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. It is to determine the volume of a sand box structure for your kids. All sizes are in inches. It assumes that all board lengths are the same. Enter the number of sides... 3 for a Triangle, 4 for a Square, 5 for a Pentagon, 6 for a Hexagon, etc. 4 is the default. (There must be at least 3 sides for volume but the number for any reasonable number of sides is acceptable.) Enter the length of a board; 48 is the default. Also enter the height each side is, 8 is the default. Press the Calculate button. Volume is in cubic inches, cubic feet and cubic yards.
