This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. There are actually 2 calculators involved. The first is to determine the total amount of either decimal pounds or, pounds and ounces from a quantity of ounces alone. The second is to calculate the reverse, pounds to ounces. Enter a number of ounces for the first; enter a number of pounds (decimal values accepted) for the second. Click on Calculate to see the results and you may click on Clear Values to reset all fields to use the calculator again. In our first example, an entry of 17 ounces yields a decimal pounds value of 1.0625, the same value rounded and, 1 pound and 1 ounce. There are 16 ounces in a pound. In the second example, the default entry of 1.5578 pounds yields 24.9248 ounces and 24.925 ounces rounded.
