Lotto is Maryland's Classic Jackpot Game that's better than ever. And when you play, you still get 2 chances to win for only $1. To play, just select any 6 numbers from 1 to 49. To win, the numbers you select must match the winning numbers selected on television, IN ANY ORDER. If you match 6 out of 6 numbers, you're a jackpot winner. Match 5 out of 6 numbers and you're a second prize winner. Match 4 out of 6 numbers and you're a third prize winner. Match 3 out of 6 numbers and you're a fourth prize winner. You can now choose to receive your Lotto Jackpot prize in one lump sum, rather than over 25 years. Simply ask your Lottery retailer for "Cash Option" or mark the "Cash" box on the front of your Lotto play slip. If you choose "Cash", and win the Lotto Jackpot, you'll receive a one-time payout equal to the prize pool portion which would have been used to purchase the annuity. There are 3 exciting ways to play Lotto. The first way to play Lotto is to go to a Maryland Lottery Agent to obtain a play slip. There are 10 games on each play slip. You can play 2 games for $1 or up to 10 games for $5. Pick 6 numbers from 1 through 49 in each game, and indicate if you'd prefer Annuity or Cash. Use a black pencil, black or blue ball point pen. DO NOT USE RED! Present your completed play slip with the numbers you selected to the Agent. Your retailer will give you your Lotto ticket in return. Make sure to check your ticket before you leave the retailer, and be sure that the numbers printed are the ones you selected. The second way to play Lotto is through Quick Pick. If you wish, just tell your Agent that you want Quick Pick, and the Lottery's computer will randomly select your numbers for you. Remember to tell the Agent if you'd prefer the Annuity or Cash. The third way to play, and to insure that you're playing every week, is by purchasing a Lotto Subscription. Pick up an application from any Maryland Lottery Agent. With a Lotto Subscription, you can play your lucky numbers for 13, 26 or 52 weeks. And if you win, the Lottery will automatically send you your winnings. Plus, Lotto Subscriptions make great gifts.
