This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This calculator can be used for both navigational and geometric angle purposes. An example of possible entry data is 30 minutes and 30 seconds would be 0.508191 in decimal degrees, a little more than half of a degree, as a possible entry value. It is designed for only minutes and seconds in bi-directional calculation for decimal degrees and is for calculations of less than 1 degree by intent. It can be used for larger amounts as long as you understand the required entry and values returned. For general information, it takes 60 seconds to make 1 minute and 60 minutes to make 1 degree. An entry of 90 minutes, though unusual, would return a value of about 1.5 degrees. The lower calculator does the opposite calculation.
