This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This script determines the horsepower rating of a given electric motor by its kilowatt rating. By changing the efficiency to a percentage less than 100, you can also determine the approximate actual produced by that motor. Most are 100% but many have a runtime rating of 90% to 95% (or less).
