This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This script creates and uses up to 10 class data entries (for a single quarter or semester of college) for grades and credits. The data entry is a number value of credit hours and a letter grade (A though F with + and - applicable for A, B, C and D). Withdrawals, failures, incompletes and pass or no pass classes do not enter into the credit hours equation or impact your GPA. Use only the classes you require. The result is a total for the grade points, a total for credit hours and the GPA for those classes. The GPA equivalents (based on national standards) are applied by the program.
Using this regularly will keep you attuned to your GPA standing and potential for college entry. The grade point average (GPA) is calculated by dividing the total amount of grade points earned by the total amount of credit hours attempted. A grade point average may range from low to high, 0.0 to a 4.0. Grades are as follows:
The formula and methodology to calculate your cumulative G.P.A. is: total the credit hours and then the grade points from all semesters. Divide the total grade points by the total credit hours.
