This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This calculator is designed to supply needed information concerning the depth of field for the specified data entry. To find the near, far and hyperfocal distance for a specific lens, enter the lens focal length in millimeters (mm), lens aperture (f/number or 'f stop number') and the subject/object distance from the lens. The JavaScript program will calculate the near, far and hyperfocal distances. The standard unit of measure for distances is feet but it can be overridden by selecting meters. Your MSIE browser will print these tables while others must print screen to the clipboard and then print from some other application.
