Conversion Rate Calculator
This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This calculator is designed to give the CR, (conversion rate), of those clicking on an advertisement and then buying. From a publisher's perspective, CR is a useful guide of the effectivness of both the ad and the product's capability to sell. It is calculated by dividing total number of number of purchases generated, by the total number of clicks. For example, in our default values, if an advertising publisher sees 1000 clicks on an ad and sells 100 items in a particular advertising project, the CR would equal (100 divided by 1000) * 100, or 10% (percent of the clicks). According to data supplied by the Internet Marketing gurus at Google AdWords the average conversion rate is about 1%. However, in all reality, it depends on the product, the price, the strategy and the presentation; not to mention the customer who makes the final decision.
