This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This script calculates a flow rate of linear feet per minute from cubic feet per minute. You can find the reverse of this calculator here. In our calculator, the height and width are distances in inches, of the carrier. In the case of air flow in a rectangular air conditioning duct, use the length and width. In the case of a pipe with liquid or gas flow, use the diameter for both. In the case of air flow from an oval duct, use the cross section width and height. Enter both the height and width values. Enter the flow rate and click on Calculate. In our example, the height and width of the carrier are each 8 inches while the flow rate is 1200 cubic feet per minute. The yield is 2700 linear feet per minute.
