This calculator requires the use of Javascript enabled and capable browsers. This calculator is designed to give the focal length information concerning parabolic antennae. In our calculator, the diameter of the antenna is a spherical chord, cutting a section of the sphere. That section is our parabolic antenna dish in total. The antenna dish depth is the distance from the deepest point on the surface to the chord on a perpendicular. The focal point length is the radius of the sphere with the focal point being the exact center of the sphere. The focal ratio is the focal length (sphere radius) divided by the chord (dish diameter).
Since most satellite information is metric, we have followed the same pattern. Enter values for the chord and depth in centimeters (CM) and the focal length is returned in centimeters. Based on user comment, we may add feet and inches. After each change in the required values, the calculator will recalculate. You may click on Clear Values to start over.
