I would like to call it cheap; we however, call it a thrifty investment in knowledge. Members this past year were informed in advance of the high probability, in our opinion, of major stock price increases in Intel, Microsoft, E-Bay, Xoom.com, Excite, Onsale, AOL, Amazon Books, Broadcast.com, Yahoo, Dell, Lycos, Intuit, Netscape, Sun Microsystems, Qualcomm, 3-Com, Micron Technology, Infoseek, CISCO and 14 others. All were big winners and we had all of them right. We also told you of four companies we thought would close the doors during the year. We did make a slight error with Apple. (OK, who would have ever guessed that Bill Gates would sink big bucks into Apple after having spent so many dollars fighting over QuickTime? Not me certainly. Three out of four is a good batting average...) Those that took the advice and hung on, made as much as a 1700% return on investment! Some will say anyone could have gotten them all right this past year. Look at the winners and losers on the stock markets of the world any day to discredit that sour grapes rationalization. Like Kenny Rogers points out in "The Gambler", every hand is a winner and every hand is a loser. You gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em; the same goes with stocks, particularly tech and Internet stocks. We don't guarantee 100% accuracy and our advice is not really for the purposes of making you rich from the stock market; find a registered broker that you trust to do that. It is to keep you informed of what is happening in our industry to keep what you have and not be one that says at the end of the year, "If only I had gotten (and taken) some good advice this year". Now I've got to make the legal statements so that my attorney doesn't gag and choke. We're not responsible for how you use the information you obtain from this site or from us. We're not responsible for accuracy, though we try to be more accurate than you can imagine. What kind of decisions you make and how you use the information is entirely up to you. We get no credit or percentage if you make tons of dollars, save tons of dollars or keep from losing tons of dollars, and we don't accept the blame if you blow it in Vegas or a stock market. We guarantee our work but the guarantee on our opinions is that you are guaranteed to get one. We also copyright the opinions and information we present, therefore you may not represent them as your own, use them without proper recognition, or distribute them in any way without our written consent. You are welcome to use anything you see here for your own use, for educational purposes or in a not for profit environment. If you want to print anything, we suggest you look at the Tips'N'Tricks section of our site for information on printing procedures. You get the idea and I'm certain you understand the need for this. I hate it but our society has mandated it and who am I to change the direction of our society? (Is this the SOAPBOX?) Our users tell us it is worth the $60.00 a year 10 times over, even with all the free information on the Internet. Most of our customers know that we accept our own advice, do the best we can to filter right from wrong, good from bad, and pass on what we find. Many have been with us longer than I can remember and feel that we are one of the best sources for information about the industry. We feel that way also but as Lou Speziale, a modern day Italian Will Rogers mixed with some Yogi Berra, always says, "Self praise is no recommendation"! We agree with that also. Send us your check and we'll start the information coming to you. (On Wednesday, October 7, 1999, Lou Speziale passed away after 98 years of a wonderful life. He is now our guardian angel and our lives have been better because he touched them.) Would you like to get a stock quote or stock information?
